Can a Domain Name Be Changed After Purchase at Hostinger?

If you’ve bought the wrong domain name by mistake or simply changed your mind, it’s possible to switch to a different domain name with the same extension, as long as that it meets one of the following conditions:

  • The domain is not activated yet: It will appear as Pending setup on your hPanel home page:

or

  • The domain is refundable: In case the domain is already active, it must qualify for a refund according to our Refund Policy. You can check the domain status in the Domains section of hPanel:

Keep in mind that the purchase and registration dates may differ. You can confirm the creation date if needed using a tool like Whois:

Once you’ve confirmed the domain is eligible for a change, contact us and share the new domain name you’d like, as long as it’s available. We’ll assist you with this process.
